Keep Las Vegas Moving - The Pioneer Program

From the mountains to the desert to the unique excitement of Las Vegas, Nevada attracts visitors and new residents from throughout the world. So many people, in fact, that Nevada has one of the fastest-growing populations and Las Vegas is outpacing most cities in terms of continuous growth. To maintain a healthy, prosperous environment for our state's residents, the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is seeking new ways to Keep Nevada Moving. And we've come up with a promising solution: The Pioneer Program.

The Pioneer Program is a solution-oriented transportation financing initiative designed to ensure prompt delivery of needed projects, decrease traffic congestion, provide a more efficient transportation system and contribute to a better lifestyle for a growing Nevada. The Pioneer Program will help bridge the gap between available taxpayer funding and our state's transportation needs by enhancing NDOT's ability to form public-private partnerships.
